Wally Long

Wally LongWally Long joined Shodair Children's Hospital in 2011 as the Director of the Montana Children's Foundation. He comes to Shodair following a one-year sabbatical from philanthropy spent as Director of External Affairs at Midland School, a college preparatory boarding school located in Los Olivos, California.

Wally began his non-profit career in 1989 as an educator and field instructor for the National Outdoor Leadership School in Lander, Wyoming. For nine years, Wally worked with students of all ages on 30- to 90-day wilderness, whitewater, and semester courses for the world's foremost outdoor school. He spent six years on Wall Street as a financial advisor in order to bring a greater understanding of philanthropy and financial acumen to the non-profit world. Wally has run successful campaigns for St. Paul's School in Concord, New Hampshire and The Nature Conservancy in Helena.

A graduate of Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Wally has been involved on the board, volunteer, and advisory level with multiple non-profit organizations in the Rockies as well as across the country.
