Glen Newhart, CFRE
Shodair Foundation Director
Glen Newhart, CFRE, has served as foundation director at Shodair Children’s Hospital since 2007. A native of Pennsylvania, Glen moved to Helena from Northwest Arkansas where he served as Director of Advancement and Chairman of the Building Committee for a private boarding school.
Prior to living in Arkansas, Glen served as Regional Director for the American Heart Association in Atlanta, where he received numerous volunteer management and fundraising awards. He also served as a trainer and mentor for new fundraising staff in the Georgia region.
Glen has also served as Director of Advancement at private secondary boarding schools in both Georgia and Idaho, where he was responsible for building fundraising programs from the ground up. He was selected as a session presenter and roundtable leader at the PSI International Conference on Philanthropy in 2006, and was asked to again present at the 2008 International Conference. He is a member of the Montana Non-Profit Association, the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) Regional Cabinet, and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Montana Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). Glen is also a member of the AFP International Conference Education Advisory Committee.
Glen has a degree in business administration and is currently completing a Master’s degree in healthcare administration.
