
John P. "Jack" Casey
Shodair Children’s Hospital Administrator Jack Casey was born and raised in Anaconda, Montana. After earning his bachelor’s degree in medical technology from Carroll College in Helena, Montana, Jack went on to serve in the United States Army Medical Service Corps, where he worked as supervisor of clinical chemistry at the U.S. Army Hospital at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.
After being honorably discharged from the Army, Jack began his distinguished career in health administration, working in both the private and public sectors. After serving as supervisor of laboratories at the State of Montana’s Boulder River School in Boulder, Jack co-managed the laboratory and nuclear medicine departments at St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena. He then went on to become administrator at the Stillwater Community Hospital in Columbus, Montana, the Department of Institutions for the State of Montana in Helena, and the Sunrise Ranch Alcoholism and Chemical Dependency Treatment Center in Helena. In 1987, Jack became administrator of Shodair Children’s Hospital.
Jack has served on a variety of professional boards and committees throughout his career. Currently, he serves on the board of directors of Consensus Management, which is based in Nashville, Tennessee. Jack is also chair of the finance committee for Yellowstone Insurance Exchange, and board president of Ventures, Inc., a for-profit corporation that is part of the Montana Hospital Association.
